Chew Issue #1
£3.00 / Sold Out
Chew is a space for celebration and commentary of all forms of popular culture, especially those things that are dismissed as lowbrow, trashy or juvenile by “weightier” publications. We don’t believe in guilty pleasures, or enjoying things ironically, and we certainly don’t believe there’s such a thing as reading too much into it. Mainstream or minor, commercial or cancelled, we’re keen to sink our teeth into it. Our first issue looks at the theme of identity (of an individual, a performative persona, a social clique), and is particularly interested in those moments of transformation when our identities shift from one state to another—moments that are ubiquitous in pop culture. We hope you enjoy it!
